Ridiculously delicious! No menu so you just let the Koshary and come back happy. I had that, a diet soda and kheer (rice pudding), and the today was 130 EGP ($2.50 USD) which is really good value. I wish there was a way to add more protein but I'd have the extra carbs any day if they taste like this.

This place was recommended and we’re glad we went. Walking through the neighborhood on the way was very interesting. The Koshary was excellent and meeting fellow travelers from Pakistan and Belgium made the experience even better! The staff is very friendly and entertaining. Don’t miss this when you’re in the Cairo downtown area.

Not sure what the hype is all about for this establishment. The food was ok, but I sense you can get the same type of food at other restaurants that serve Koshary. The waiter (thin gentleman with a small mustache at the top floor) sat us down at the table that was not clean. The waiter took a while to take our order. The waiter also gave us our check and pointed out to me tip is not included. Gave him 10% tip and the look on his face appeared he expected more. Also, there were two arguments that broke out with two staff members. This tells me workers are unhappy there. I do not recommend this establishment to potential customers.
