أنا حابة احكي تجربتي السيئة مع سنتر International House Cairo. أنا اتنصب عليا من السنتر ده واكتشفت بعد كده أن عملوا كده مع كذه حد. دفعت ثمن placement test ودفعت نص مبلغ الكورس، بعد يومين دفعت باقي المبلغ بالكامل. دخلوني في level أقل من مستوايا، الحاجات اللي باخدها حرفيا اساسيات ومش هيضيفلي حاجه. قلت للمدربة حسيت اني مظلومه بالمستوي وبضيع وقت، قالتلي تواصلي مع السنتر واعملي oral test تاني. السنتر باعتين ليا عشان ادخل الليفيل الجديد، قولتلهم لا انا عندي مشكله، مماطلة وتطنيش وبيفضلوا يتجاهلوا رسايلي. فضلت علي هذا الحال مده من نص ٧ لحد اخر ٨ مماطلة ورد متأخر عشان يزهقوني ومش بوصل معاهم لحل. اجازتي خلصت في الفاضي. قلت ليهم عايزه اعمل refund لباقي المبلغ، فضلوا يتحججوا ويقولولي policy بتاعت المكان أن منرجعش الفلوس. بعد مكلمت الادمن، اخر حاجه اتواصلوا معايا وقالتلي هكلمك يوم الاربعاء، عدي الاربعاء ومحدش اتواصل. قلت للادمن هنزلهم black list، قالتلي هبعتلهم يتواصلوا معاكي، قولتلها انا مش عايزه تواصل انا عايزه المبلغ يسترد، ومن بعدها مفيش اي رد. بحذّر أي حد من يتعامل معاهم عشان ميكررش تجربتي. مك

I had a mixed but somewhat negative experience with International House Cairo while taking their remote (online) CELTA course. The issues began with misleading information about class schedules and escalated due to poor administration and customer service. I advise potential students to choose another remote CELTA provider if there is any suitable alternative. ** Note that this review may not apply to in-person programs, and is a reflection of my experience taking one of their remote (online) courses ** Course Schedule Misrepresentation: I initially chose IH Cairo over a course in Turkey because their advertised schedule (ending at 9 PM, Indochina time) suited my evening commitments, since classes would end early enough for me to still be able to undertake meaningful activities after class. (*I thought) However, just before the course started, I was informed that classes would actually run until as late as 11:30 PM, Indochina time. International House had two websites displaying different information for IH Cairo; I had apparently registered though the main International House information page, though there was no indication that there was anything amiss as I went through the entire sales funnel – from start to finish on the main page. I had no idea there was a different website with the ‘actual’ information. There was no suggestion or instruction that there was a separate IH Cairo page. This new, ‘real’ schedule conflicted with my personal study time limits and interfered with evening musical performance opportunities, a potential source of income. When I raised this issue, IH Cairo refused to offer a refund, stating that I had already taken the first class. I had taken the first class since I only just found out about the ‘real’ schedule the day before, and I had no alternative but to try it to see if I could make it work under such short notice. Indeed, the 11PM + class ending was too late and such a class was not my choice or preference. Administrative Issues: The course coordinator, Laura Woodward, while a capable teacher, proved to be an administrator of mixed capability. She generally refused to admit errors, and frequently responded in a dismissive or passive-aggressive manner. The lack of proper coordination and clear communication was an ongoing frustration throughout the course. Lack of Diversity: This is a neutral factor in the end, but worth mentioning. My course mates were nice and were primarily based in Egypt, with several in
